1. Definitions

• "Service" refers to cultural journey programs provided by Heritage Routes
• "Traveler" means any person booking or participating in our journeys
• "Content" includes all text, images, and materials on our website
• "We/Us/Our" refers to Heritage Routes
• "Agreement" means these Terms and Conditions

2. Booking and Payment

Journey bookings are subject to:

• Travelers must be at least 18 years old or have guardian consent
• Deposit of 30% required to secure booking
• Full payment due 60 days before journey departure
• Prices are in Singapore Dollars (SGD)
• Payment via bank transfer or approved credit cards

3. Cancellation Policy

• More than 90 days before departure: Full refund minus 10% administrative fee
• 60-90 days before departure: 50% refund
• 30-60 days before departure: 25% refund
• Less than 30 days before departure: No refund
• Travel insurance strongly recommended

4. Journey Inclusions

Journey pricing includes:

• Expert scholar accompaniment throughout
• All domestic transportation during journey
• Accommodations as specified in itinerary
• Most meals emphasizing regional cuisine
• Site entry fees and museum visits
• Workshop materials for artisan programs
• Preparation materials and readings

Excluded from pricing:

• International airfare
• Travel insurance
• Personal expenses and gratuities
• Optional activities not in itinerary

5. Traveler Responsibilities

• Provide accurate health and travel information
• Obtain necessary visas and travel documents
• Maintain appropriate travel insurance
• Follow cultural protocols as briefed
• Respect local communities and heritage sites
• Comply with scholar guidance during journey

6. Limitation of Liability

Heritage Routes' liability is limited as follows:

• Services provided "as is" with care and expertise
• No guarantee of specific archaeological discoveries or cultural experiences
• Maximum liability limited to journey fees paid
• No liability for indirect or consequential damages
• Not responsible for force majeure events
• Travel insurance required to cover unforeseen circumstances

7. Journey Modifications

Heritage Routes reserves the right to:

• Modify itineraries due to weather, site closures, or safety concerns
• Substitute accommodations of similar standard if necessary
• Cancel journeys with insufficient enrollment (full refund provided)
• Change scholar guides due to unforeseen circumstances

8. Intellectual Property

• All website content remains property of Heritage Routes
• Limited license granted for personal, non-commercial use
• No reproduction of preparation materials without permission
• Photography permitted for personal use only
• Respect cultural photography restrictions as briefed

9. Dispute Resolution

• Initial attempt at informal resolution (30 days)
• Mediation as second step if needed
• Binding arbitration in Singapore if necessary
• Jurisdiction: Singapore courts
• Applicable law: Singapore law
